Blinder Laser Diffuser
Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone has experiance with these units? Are they about the best you can get currently? And do they work with all of the laser guns in the uk? Cheers

I have the blinder M45, but only because I couldn't get the Laser Interceptor at the time.

Bit confused because the blinder is a newer unit and it can be programmed for England...Europe etc...Would of thought it would of been the top unit.

Eight diodes seems like overkill. Seriously, even the standard LI is good enough compared to the HP LI units. What you're looking for is not just the intensity of the lasers but also being able to detect LIDAR and being able to modulate the diodes so the LIDAR units don't sense jamming. By having two diodes per unit you can realize both horizontal and vertical polarizations for jamming and I'm not really sure that really buys you much, but I could be wrong. I think with eight diodes you're just getting a stronger jamming signal. One thing for sure is that you really do get better jamming with two units vs. one. Another consideration which depends on LE where you drive is rear protection. You need two units up front and two behind if that's the case. There are more considerations though before you even think about jamming. First a good detector is in order. A CB is the next best thing. Scanners help a bit but for other reasons are not nearly as effective as detectors and CBs. However, a Bearcat BCT-7, BCT-8 or BCT-15 has a pretty neat feature they call BearTracker. When it detects a mobile repeater frequency being used it alerts. It's not foolproof -- the LEO needs to have his repeater on and the system needs to be transmitting -- but in my experience it seems pretty reliable when an alert is sounded. You also need to develop strategies and good practices like looking far ahead, take no alert for granted, learn and be wary of where and how LEOs hide, and use rabbits. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas.

Oh, one other thing, there is that bit with the patent infringement case. Look it up.
