Suggestions for Tires on my 219's???

Hey all, looking for suggestions on max perf. summer tires for my style 219's on my e90 M3. I've always been a Michelin PSS or AS3 guy depending on the car but now w/ the PS4's out, I might have to try those. The other option I'm considering is the Toyo R888. I won't do more than 1 track event annually, but I do take the car out on the weekends for some spirited backroad drives. It's not my DD at the moment, I have an 04 M3 for on Mich. PSS's for that but I'm planning on selling that car in the spring, so eventually, the E90 will be my DD. Any recommendations or thoughts on either tire? sizes?

Thanks!

I heard somewhere that they changed the supplier of the rubber and their manufacturing processes and they're very noisy now and don't balance well. Any truth to that? I had a set of continentals on a fox body mustang 20 years ago and they were great, but haven't had them since.

Sounds like Michelin PSS/PS4S or Conti ECS for a good mix of long life, grip, and comfort at the cost of price.

Hankook V12 evo2 if you just want very long life and cheap with good-enough-for-street-but-you'll-be-wanting-more-at-the-track grip. Had a set on my car when I bought it used, they were comfortable and lasted very long. Once I drove on it at a track, it was a bit lackluster. Swapped to PSS and the difference was huge.

I ran 18 inch PSS last set and Conti EC Sport this set. They are comparable in weight and performance but the Conti are cheaper. The PS4 would have a small edge over either on a track, but cost more. I might try them next. Don’t think you can go wrong with any of those 3.

I need new tires ASAP. Unfortunately hit a pot hole and bubbled one of my PSS up front. Rears were getting close so I decided to swap all 4.

Trying to decide Conti vs PS4S and what sizes I should go with ZCP wheels. Any suggestions? Conti are definitely a few hundred cheaper.

I have Swift Springs and 15/12 mm. Can I pull off 275/35 in rear?

Do they still make the PSS? Wonder if they're cheaper than the PS4S and if they're trying to clear them out??? I've read a few things about conti's. I think I might stick w/ Mich...

If you are not tracking the car, or not doing it regularly, I would get the Contis. Tire Rack's testing shows them to be just barely behind the Michelins for a lot less money.

I would go with OEM sizes for a 8.5 and 9.5" width. I would go with the Mich PS4s.
