Brake service interval reset?

Can someone post or link to a DIY brake pad change for the e90/e92 M3?
I have heard its easy to do but would appreciate anyone who has done it chimming in. Thanks!

Is it any different that on the E46 325/330/M3 which I have done a bunch of times?

Anything in particular that you had to worry about?
Thanks.

Get a large C-clamp to push the pistons back on the fronts. Otherwise, it's a similar procedure.

I got my RS-19s today, but there is still snow outside. The pad change will most likely not happen until April. I'll keep you guys posted.

I didn't know the brake change interval was determined by mileage. Did BMW do away with the wear sensors that my e46 had?

The brake system as a whole as a milage/time factor. The wear sensor of course also triggers a service warning.

i don't think you have mileage countdown on your brakes ... if the sensor was not activated you should be fine changing your pads as many times as you want ... but if you get that yellow warning light on your dash, then you need to go and reset it ...

yes - if you have i-drive there is a countdonw for oil, front pasd, rear pads etc. under vhicle info, service info. maybe not if you dont have i-drive.

You can access that info from the stalk in a non i-drive car. It's there but buried in all the sub-menus. SA did it in the 335i.

I'd like to know this too as once the free maintenance is up I'll need to reset the SI's.
