Meet and Greet for SA-area BMW CCA Members and other BMW enthusiasts this coming Friday (Jan. 11), 5:30PM, BJ's Brewhouse at The Rim (on I-10 just west of 1604). This is an informal gathering to get to know one another and discuss/encourage participation in club events. Non-members are welcome too - come find out about club membership and activities or just to swap stories and check out each other's cars. Hope to see you all there!

Indeed, that would be me! My wife, too! Although we're over by Camp Stanley near the end of the Boerne city limits.

Completely OT, but figured that since this was an active SA thread.....

Anyone in the area with any recommendations for areas for rental homes/recommended neighborhoods to the NE of Fort Sam Houston? I am trying to get into a good school district but trying to stay inside of the 35 to remain sane during the commute. Shertz and Cibolo have been recommended, but wanted to avoid the traffic if possible. Thanks and sorry for the thread jack.

I do look forward to being active in the area with my E93 this summer.

We don't anticipate being there for more than a few hours at the most; depends on how many there are and who's staying for supper, etc.

Quite good, once we established that we were meeting INside BJ's - a fair-sized crowd gathered in the parking lot (which is pretty small), so next time we'll find a place with more room and spend some time checking out the cars prior to going indoors. Our intention was to get everyone around a table and get acquainted, but I think the prevailing thought was that this would be a cars-and-coffee-type of gathering. We'll clarify things when we announce the next one, which will probably be in February.

Question for everyone - would you prefer a weekend morning/afternoon meet, and are there suggestions for a different place? The Rim is a little out of the way for some folks, so maybe someplace else with a decent-sized parking lot and somewhere nearby for refreshments?

I was out of town, but I've seen car and coffee meetup in the blanco and 1604 plaza, where the target is. There is a Panera restaurant and a stone works as well.

We'll do that. I've been to one of those C&C meets at Blanco/1604 also. We might consider that as one of our future locations.

hello guys i am also a bmw owner of a 08 335i in the sa area names albert go by bert it either is good just wanted to introduce myself and maybe help with the location for the meet. i know that the alamo ranch area has a good target parking lot that has plenty of food around the area bj,buffalo wild wings,sonics,etc. its off of the 1604/culebra area.

I'll be moving to SA this summer with my e92 M3. Hope to meet you guys then.

I'm also looking for a place near Fort Sam Houston. Alamo Hts is just to expensive for what you get.

Great - let us know when you'll be getting to town. I live Northwest, between Leon Springs and Boerne, but we'll try to have the meets at various areas that are accessible to everyone.
