Unhappy Locked the Car with key in Trunk,325i

Hi

i know its stupid and it does not happen but it happend to me, i have locked my 2005 BMW 325i sedan and then was picking my stuff from trunk, i kept the key in the truck and closed it so its locked now, i called BMW guys for help they say they dont have locksmith facitlity , i made the car doors opened by geico guys , but once the doors are opened by force the trunk cant be opened using the button , i dont have the duplicate keys, i went to BMW dealer to make a duplicate key but i got this car just 5 days b4 and the title is in temporary registration under my name so they say they cant give duplicate key until the title is changed, now left with no options, i am thinking of opening the back seats and try to remove the key, can any of you let me know if i can bend the back seats and get the key from the truck and also how to bend the seats and place it back properly

its a 325i BMW sedan - 2005 Model

any help is appreciated

Nicely Done!!!

Isn't there a second key somewhere? You bought the car and it came with only 1 key?

If you have the split down folding back seats you might be able to reach the release lever in the trunk for the seats to fold them down, there on the roof of the trunk spaced evenly on both sides of the trunk. Good luck.

... and dont worry... I ended up locking my car (with keys in hand) and closed the trunk when I was doing my M-sport steering wheel upgrade. Battery was not connected.

So tell me how an electronic unlock is going to work with no power? How would I ever get my car started again (no fold down seats in my E90)...

After saying a few four letter words at an increased volume, I realized I could 'jump' the car to get the power to open the trunk... Viola... trunk opened, and I learned my lesson...

You should have a second key no matter what, but if that doesnt work, try the valet key in your glovebox...

hey bmwdumbo, if you're equipped with the fold down seats, fold down your rear centre armrest, and you can access your trunk that way, if the key is too far to reach, the switch to fold down your rear seats are on either side of the trunk, if you reach into the trunk, you would push the levers to allow the seats to be folded down.

good point -- this is the wrong forum to be asking this because all of us are using our E90's as reference.

side note though...why the hell isn't there a second key, even if it's used?

There is... somewhere... If he is the original owner, he should have both real keys and the valet key...

It was his first post, it was a 2005, and I told him to go to Bimmerfest where the e46 people could help him. And Bavarian, he said he just bought the car used.
Nikki, I think he was trying to figure out a way to meet you LOL!!!
