Laguna Seca Blue on 2011 E92 M3

Hello M3 community, I am trying to find any way possible to get a 2011 E92 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue. I know this has been done before but am not familiar with how to go about it...anyone with any info on how to go about this and where to start would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

It's part of the Individual Program, because that color is not normally available. Any BMW Dealership can order it, but some wont, because it's a big hassle, not only for them, but because in the end BMW might not approve your order (they frequently do not).

The color itself is a $5,000 extra in the program I believe, and you can also specify different colored interior leather and trims. Like Eclipsis said, you can PM the forum member GOLFFRR, and he will be able to help you out further. Alternatively, you can go into your preferred BMW dealership and tell them what you want and they might help you.

$5k to order that color and BMW NA themselves have to approve your order, it's a small chance but it does happens and it happens more often toward the beginning of a MY run.

The above is exactly how it is done!

The best time to order and not get rejected is at the beginning of the Model Year.

Thanks everyone!!

The only issue I see is around little dings and dents...when someone backs into me in a parking lot there is no easy way to touch up the paint.

GOLFFRR: I am sure you have seen this concern before...do dealers ever have LSB paint that they can use for repairs?
I can understand if this is just one of those risks that comes with having a bad a** color but want to understand my options.
I am hearing that the new model year is the best time to recommend...that is March correct? I would be able to do so at that time!

Any good body shop should be able to order/get OEM paint and paint match it to you if there is ever a need

plus, LSB was a factor color before

I know you dont have enough post yet you need 5 i believe but once you reach 5 can you shoot me a pm with your email address and i can get you all set up. Ill email you everything you need to know so you wont be left in the dark

Touch up paint concern, thats not an issue. All OEM colors are obtainable and if they are a certified BMW shop you will be good to go.
As far as the when is the best time to buy the M i would answer whenever your ready. There are no slatted changes coming to the M3 line up as of now. If there were we would have been notified by BMW. The only thing you would gain by waiting is possibilities of better incentives. Is there a possibility of something new coming out for the next year M3? not likely but i can't say no for sure or yes for sure thats something the buyer has to factor in for themselves

I am 99% posaitive it is not the run of the new model year, but the beginning of new year production.

So like your best bet for getting an individual color would be NOW. Has nothing to do with model year 2011 changing in April/May/June or whenever they do.

my hunch is they will make LS blue available as a color for my12 so I would hold on to see when that is announced. You cannot really lose. a my12 will be the last production year of the car and makes it that much more special and even though the chance is slim that any new features will come, it could happen and at this point in the game I personally am going to wait to see. Unless you NEED the car now, its a no brainer to wait

Thanks again GOLFFRR, I will get a few more posts going and then contact you via email to have a more personal conversation. I have a few questions around a side note I picked up at my local BMW dealership about a V6 option, I am going to put it on a new threat to up my thread count...please see "V6 available in March 2011"
