Racing Style Splitter : Want One?

Alright guys,

I am remaking the splitter in some much stronger material and want to know if anyone else would be interested in one. It look like I may have to buy a large sheet of the material and could have enough for 3 extra splitters.

Please PM Me if you are interested.

Here is the prototype on my car.

D

Finally the finished splitter, and some pro photos to boot!

It looks nice, how does it function? In the middle area, where does all the air go? It looks like it just gets trapped. Or is there a space there?

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have not posted in a bit. I have been really busy and haven't had time to think about this. I am going on a week vacation for thanksgiving. When I get back I will check out the material costs and discuss with people interested what the plan will be.

I will be making this at least for myself 100%, so it will just depend on how many others are interested in the project.

Them3guy - That is a nice splitter, a little too thick for my liking and I dont like how it comes up around the sides. I think mine is a cleaner look. Thanks for the info though.

did you measure the angle of attack on this? Also how far back did you go on your version?

From the looks of it, he just mounted it flush to the bottom of the bumper. From my understanding, the optimal angle for a splitter is 7 degrees.

There isn't much of an airdam above it so it isn't functioning as a ground effect splitter. It would make the air more turbulent under the car instead of clean and fast.
