A bit of trivia- BMW actually runs all of their brand new engines on a dyno to redline immediately after assembly. When I was at BMW a few years ago, they were running their brand new motors just like that.

Is there a specific procedure to dyno the e92 or can I just go to a shop and have it dynoed all the way to redline? I remember on the e46 the car would cut off at 6500rpm unless you had a special machine (GT1?) to dyno it to redline.
