Do you guys have any advice for buying exhausts from forum members used or new but lower priced? I'm skeptical of buying something for that much money off of here you never know with things like that if there is something wrong with them...
So if there is someone in Irvine CA or near there that knows what to look for in things like this could you assist me in a potential purchase of an exhaust that the buyer says is new but selling for way less?

Anything used or new from forum members can be risky. I'll typically look at iTrader ratings/history for feedback as well as a search of the user name to look for any shady signs. For high dollar items I like to buy in person.
For an exhaust, I'd look up the brand you're buying to compare pictures from the web or forum sponsor sites to get a comparison of what it should look like and maybe what's included. Look for things in person that matter most such as tip condition, hanger mounts, mounting flanges, and welds. Also check for the strap points on the sides that they are not bent. |
