I have the m performance and I wish it were louder and I have no cats. At least it doesn't drone and is quiet when not a wot. On wot it sounds pretty good but I just wish it was a little louder. I'm supercharged with fab speed x pipe. Also test pipes.

I have the Borla s- type , when I got it about 700 miles ago it sounded nice but now it's starting to break and it's really getting an aggressive note . I think the touring is too low and the attack is really aggressive but the S type for me seems perfect. When I start the car it actually rumbles the windows in my house

If you have any specific questions just ask. Or all of your requirements fit the Borla S type I think you would really be happy

What is the ATAK all about? What makes it more aggressive? Does it drone?
I have considered the Corsa cat back for high flow and no drone.

Muffler/rear section is not where the restriction is, it's the xpipe. All the mufflers flow pretty much the same (you won't see much gain with just a muffler change).

The Atak is their loudest exhaust, it doesn't drone. I've heard that their S, even though quieter has some drone. I was impressed with the Atak, sold mine only because it was a little too loud for me. I don't like an exhaust overwhelming my intake noise. The MPE gives me the balance I like.

OEM MPE + Test Pipes

This is what you're looking for. Much lighter than stock, no drone, and excellent sound. If you get a used MPE it's within your budget.

Used mpe

Heard a lot of exhausts and to me this is my favorite by far. Akra full sounds good too

To my ear, the stainless systems make the car sound deeper and more like a traditional v8. I prefer the mechanical and higher pitched sound of the s65.

Thus, I like the mpe and Alta which retain these characteristics. But everyone has their own taste.
