E92 on meth
Why would anyone want a car that's on meth?? But really though how awesome does this sound? Safe to say first time seeing something like this!

The factory option for the f80 M3 just uses water to cool the intake temperatures and allow more aggressive timing to make more power. But I don't see why one couldn't just use a water/ meth solution on the factory kit to be even more effective. This has the same effect as running higher octane. So it's really effective on something with forced induction such as an f80 M3 or an e90 m3 with a supercharger. |

The factory system will have to add something to prevent the water from freezing in winter. Alcohol works for that. I have been running water/meth in my naturally aspirated 08M3 for 3 years, year round in NH. Ignition timing is increased from 32 to 37 when the meth is flowing, much like a 100 octane tune but I use only a couple of gallons a month. I use water meth on my 600+ rwhp turbo E36M3 as well, but that car is not tuned for it and it is for safety and supplemental cooling.
The Fluid Motor Union parts are very nice. Awron may make something similar. I just have 2 nozzles at the end of my air filter spraying 150 psi water meth into the intake. No issues in 40k miles. Protected by failsafe should flow drop or tank run out -- reverts to stock tune. |

My 08M3 uses a Vishnu piggyback system, which apparently is NLA. Meth adds octane. If you search vishnu in this subforum, you will find a couple of threads from several years ago with testing.
