ED confirmation time frame
Hey everyone,
I placed my order at the dealership for an e93 ED almost two weeks ago (Sat. 16th) and I then chose my 3 days for pick up (July 15ish frame). My CA mentioned earlier today that he is still waiting on the confirmation. How long does this usually take? I assume the production number and stuff will come with this confirmation? I thought it would take like a week or so to get confirmed but not sure what the time frame is. So I am still waiting. I guess it might be because a lot of people might be getting their car around that time as well and the ED folks are slammed? |

Hmm...the lag for getting a confirmation from BMW ED should be no more than two business days. I changed my confirmation twice because I wanted to wait for "BMW Apps". Each time the confirmation was 1 or 2 days later. I wonder if your dealer has some allocation shenanigans going on.

^^ I am going with Ryan at Steve Thomas and he said that BMW Euro is slammed right now with requests. Might be that I am planning on picking up in mid-July and that might be a busy time

Yes...your looking at Peak Season and it's crazy to arrange an ED slot during that part of year. Your in good hands with Ryan, he's a straight shooter and will take care of you!!!

28 days for the confirmation email. I got the package in the mail like two weeks after I put in my order. I also ordered with Ryan and Steve Thomas, so I really didn't worry (too much). I can tell you the waiting sux!

Both of you are set in the very capable hands of Ryan.
I will say it again.... ED is the ONLY way to buy a new BMW. My ED was only a month ago and I envy you guys already!!

I don't recall if the signed PO is contingent on a ED date but the PO must be signed 30 days before your ED. I signed mine approx 45 days before my ED. Hope that helps.
