Thumbs up Volk Racing TE37 Flat Black Wheels

Figured I would post the pictures of my new wheels in here for anyone looking. The tires do not rub anywhere.

Nice. I have a very similar track setup in 18". TE37s rock!

P.S. I fully agree one should not be investing too much in street tires (I saw your comments in the photo thread).

Yeah once my OEM 18" tires are done, I will be going with some R compound for track events. I would love some 18" Volks for the track as well, but I don't see that happening.

Looks good. Congrats.

Those Kumho's are very blocky... if that's a word.

how do you like the larger tires on the rear.
We are trying this on one of our client's cars, let us know what you think of them.

He doesn't have any ride or rubbing issues. I prefer the look of the large tires in the rear, over the low profile look in the front. But with that aggressive offset, pushing the profile any taller up front would be really risky as far as rubbing is concerned.

Ecsta SPT tires are the best DD tires IMHO, you can never go wrong with TEs either. GREAT choices!

I would have went with 265-35-19's in the front and 285-30-19's in the rear so it wouldnt look so unbalanced.

Rims are very nice though.

Ditto, it is a personal taste thing but wow, the rears look quite diff than the fronts.

It is definitely a look that some will like, others not so.

I always liked the stock stance with the OEM 19's.

Well you would have rubbed with the 265/35s I am almost sure. Also check out your options for 285/30s. There are only 11 on Tire Rack versus 30 for the 285/35. Sometimes you need to do your research like I did before picking your tire sizes. I knew that 265/35s could rub, and I wasn't happy with the 285/30 choices or I would have picked them like you recommended. Overall the fronts are a little shorter than stock and the rears are a little taller than stock. It doesn't really bother me.

The rears are quite different from the fronts from the factory though. Have you seen the sidewall on an OEM 18" rear tire? We run a staggered setup so don't be afraid to show it. By the way versus my OEM 18"s the fronts are .4" shorter overall or .2" less sidewall and the rears are .6" taller overall or .3" more sidewall. Other things factor in such as the OEM tires being stretched more than my new ones. The new tires are pretty flush to the edge of the rim so that makes them look even taller.

Wheelsto has my set and we are debating the look of the fronts with 245/35-19 front with a 285/35-19 rear. I might just go 285/30-19 rear, it'll still be staggered, I am worried about the sidewall height.

We'll have pics in a day or so so maybe I'll post for opinions

Car does look great, and the Volks are effin better, almost the best wheels period

unbalanced look.

It could look more agressive without the center cap.
Love the wheel!

Trust me our hubs look like shit. You definitely want a center cap, but I am hoping to get their flat black plain center cap. I didn't really want the center caps I have now, but they are better than nothing.

The wheels look great! I love how beefy the rear tires look. The front still has a pretty big gap though. I have the flat black center caps. They look much better. I would also get rid of the silver bolts as well since they are kind of distracting. Just my .02 though.

Where did you get your center caps? I am getting the black or blue short Volk lug nuts since I have studs not bolts as well.

My TE37s came with the flat plush center caps. They do look much better. You should inquire with your vendor to see why yours didn't.
