iPhone phonebook wont load!

I tried every sort of imaginable update and the damn phone book will not load on the iDrive screen. Loads in my dads x5 just fine. Its so weird. Any ideas?

Have you made sure that it's set as the "Telephone" in the bluetooth options in iDrive?

Yes I have. BTW what is "Additional Telephone" option for?

The car can recognize up to two phones simultaneously for calls in/out. Only the primary will have phonebook options though.

really quick dont mean to thread jack,
my phonebook actually loads my contacts I dont have iDrive but when someone calls me sometimes it shows me the name of the person and sometimes it just shows the number. Do we know the cause of that?

I've noticed that but I don't know what causes it.

Its actually a Revinora lip. Its called the "R-CRT Street". They have the regular more aggressive R-CRT that points down a lot further. This street version is a lot better for daily driving. You can contact them at revinora.com for more info.

thanks for the heads up! you know its funny back to your original question my new car a 2011 M3 now doesnt tell me who is calling on the screen, i dont have an idrive. sometimes it shows who caller is and sometimes it doesnt. hmm i gotta ask the dealer whats up.

I think, at least in my case if you have the callers name in the phone book it show's it, otherwise just the number.

when my friends call i have their names in my phonebook and still sometimes the name does not come up.
