If BMW can maintain the exact same power delivery in the tri turbo 6, and bring the weight down in the next gen, Im sure it will be nothing short of phenomenal.
BMW, I hope you have learned a lesson with the 1M. |

People just don't understand that BMW, and particularly the M-Division, are simply better than everyone else. They're the Apple of automobiles. Other manufacturers can try all they want to compete with them, but they're so far ahead of the competition the advantage is insurmountable. Just when MB or Audi or {giggle} Lexus puts up a challenge to BMW, the Roundel throws down the gauntlet with a more advanced version of the car the competition was trying to match.
The M3 is the iPhone/iPad/iPod of cars, it cannot be beaten or duplicated. I'm sorry, everyone else just has to settle for 2nd place... forever!

LMAO! Seriously though, have there been reviews (from respected publications) that have put the new Merc and Audi competitors out on top? If not, and we are seeing all the major review results, then this is awesome.

It was sad to see the s54 go too. It's sad that n/a tuned cars are slowly dying off.

I'm proud to own an M. I'm also sure that the new M3 is going to be epic. BMW doesn't go backwards. They sometimes start in funny places (i.e., X5M, X6M), but they always improve every generation.

Honestly speaking, the RS5 does not give you the Magical Feeling one gets when we hope into either an M3 or the C63 AMG. Im no fantastic driver, Im just an average driver next door. But my feel is, spending this kinda money, I would either go with the M or the AMG.

I never understood the DD argument. If the BMW has more room, gets better mpg, handles better, and has plenty of torque down low. How is the C63 a better DD???

That has a definite appeal. Having come out of a C63 into a M3 I am enjoying the hell out of the explosively and freely revving S65 V8. It's a different beast and I like it but don't discount the everyday fun of a large displacement engine. |
