hi guys,

new to this forum and, like OMID/achenator, im planning to get 19" HRE P40s w/ PS2s for my E92. however, being the noob that i am, i would like to ask for some inputs re spacers, offsets etc, from the guys here. currently running on 18" stock rims.

questions:
1.) do i need spacers?
2.) what tire specs should i look at?

considerations:
1.) car is currently running on stock suspension and i have no plans of lowering it.
2.) the roads over here are pretty uneven and sometimes we get potholes the size of moon craters.
3.) of course, i'd still like to retain the mean look of the car.

like OMID, im thinking of getting 255/35 9 ET for the front and 285/30 10.5 ET for the rear. any thoughts on this? should i go with 295's for the rear?

here's hoping someone can give me advice on this. thanks in advance guys!

Dude, you live in L.A., it's dry here like 350 days a year and the PS2's are fine in rain, just get them and don't look back, I don't regret it at all.

Spencer, you are running 295's aren't you. When the UPS guy was unloading my tires today, my response was "holy shit"

my local tire shop said they have a set of 255/35 and 295/30 barely used PS2's from some guy who constantly switches tires out.

im going to take a look at those and see whats up.

ok so i checked them out.. just as he said they were 255/35 and 295/30

looked like there was plenty of tread left. he claimed they had about 5000 miles on them. wants $1000 for them.

the rears were a little hard to the touch compared to the fronts. i am no tire expert so i dont know how to analyze that.

anyone can chime in?

I'd offer $750 even though my tires in those sizes were $1919.xx from tire rack.

i decided not to go with the used PS2's

too much i dont know about the tires

ie. did the mount/unmount correctly, how old they are, actual mileage, etc...

looks like ill settle with 285 rears, Vreds Ultrac Sessantas dont come in 285

so back to square 1.

yea, 19,900 miles of the 20,000 miles i put on the PS2's came from traffic on the 10 and 110 freeways lol..

if and when i get serious about track, i always have my stock wheels to throw some RE-11's or AD-08's on.
