19s are winning by a fair bit.

I started with 18, then moved to 19. I like the look of the 19s much better but I think the 18s handle better and are much more comfortable.

also on the fence about what to order? 18's I keep hearing handle/ride better than 19's...what I like about the 18's is the versatility, I can take these to the autox's and track DE's whereas the 19's I would be hesitant about since they looker nicer.

I plan on LB color so those of you who have LB what are your opinions on keeping 18's?

i bet if the 19"s were dark grey and the 18's where the chromish look
the poll would be reversed
meaning i think most people vote for the 19" purely because of the size, not the look
i think the 19's look ricey in the chrome finish
i like them in black (GTS)

but you really feel every bump in the road with them
unless i was taking them to the track
i much prefer the 18s

the GTS wheels are not the OEM 19s in black!

What about F1 or any hard core racing series?

F1 cars are the highest performing vehicles on earth and they have huge sidewalls!

You really want to compare a race, especially an F1 car to any road car such as the M3 ?

Why dont we compare apples with apples, you are right that they are highest performing vehicles on earth, but they are not road cars. Lets at least look at real road cars, such as a Bugatti Veyron..does it have massive sidewalls? I think not..

You don't like the factory 18's because of the sidewalls? Look at your wheel setup you are more into bling and also drive a vert. So of course your gonna want dome bling and not performance. The M3 GT2 ALMShas 18 so does the GT4; There is nothing wrong with the factory 18's especially if you have the right color combo.

I don't like the factory 18s because of their size, AND because of their massive sidewalls, it doesn't look right to me.

Yes, look at my wheel setup....they are all black? Please explain to me what is BLING about an all black wheel?

You think because I have a vert that I dont care about performance, to me the trade off of a couple hundred lbs in weight is worth being able to open the top and truely experience the joy of driving any ///M car. So leave the vert topic out of this, its a stupid, childish remark that many use to put down the vert.

I was talking about the 20"s on your car. They are not for performance minded ,just for optics!

I didn't buy them for performance, if I wanted performance I would have bought 18" light track wheels. Im not a track junky, its my daily driver!

FWIW, my rims weight about 22-23 lbs per wheel.

Not all that heavy, now is it?

Comparing a Bugatti to an M3 is apples to apples? LOL Besides, I am almost certain the Bugatti sidewall is bigger than either 18 or 19" setup on the M3.

Here is the Bugatti tire spec, you can figure it out if you like:

Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 PAX;
F: 265-680ZR-500A ( 99Y)
R: 365-710ZR-540A (108Y)

19's in summer and 18's in winter and for track use. So you have the best of both worlds, IMO.
