"No problem. Package it well, send it back and when the tracking shows movement I'll refund via Paypal."
That's what he said. I said once I get full refund I'll ship it back.

He said it was made by borla...

That's good to hear! Yeah, hopefully he comes through! BTW, you should ask him who makes this HFC so others can avoid fitment issues also.

1) Buyer files a claim
2) PP will tell buyer they can't do anything if seller already has provided them with shipping info
3) If seller hasn't already provided shipping info by this time then PP will ask the seller to do so
4) If seller doesn't provide this info within a timeframe (~7 days I think) then buyer gets refund
5) However, if seller provides shipping info within this timeframe then there's nothing else PP can do

Not trying to be an a$$ but PP is just the middleman for the transaction of the funds & that's it. They're not a retailer like Walmart, Target, Amazon or even eBay where they guarantee you don't get defective merchandise. They just guarantee you get your merchandise & that's it. Hopefully the seller comes through.

Looking at the original post by the seller & it specificually says, "Custom HFC X-pipe with Fabspeed 02 Extenders" & to me that means this isn't a Fabspeed HFC. It's just a custom HFC X-pipe WITH Fabspeed (branded) 02 extenders but I can see why/how potential buyers can think it's a Fabspeed branded HFC.

As in, the seller has agreed to refund you the money? If so then that's good to hear!
I read this in the same fashion. And, it even says in 1st post, custom x pipe. It does not state the actual x pipe was made by fabspeed.

no i knew it wasnt a fabspeed.
but does that justify the poor fitment in every area possible?
he said it was made by borla and i believe borla does not make such horrible fitting parts.

Couldnt agree more. Did OP ever even run it? I cant imagine if he had this on his car he didnt know about fitment issues.
Good luck, hopefully he is a stand up guy and makes the situation right.

when it came, it came with a few little dings on the resonators/ scratches on the connecting areas. like someone tried to fit it but couldnt get it to work. there is no discoloration on the xpipes showing visible signs of use. so to me it seems like it was never ran but put on but took off cause of poor fitment.

This was on december 22
I'm sorry. You can send it back and once tracking shows I will refund your payment. I will not send the refund before item is shipped. If you open a Paypal complaint, PayPal uses the same resolution process. Once the item shows tracking then they request the seller to issue the refund. I have no way of getting the part back but if you send it back and I don't refund the money they you can file a PayPal complaint.

I've sent him emails and pms. Nothing. I've sent him a tracking number. Nothing. He's logged on since I gave him a tracking and never replied to me. Did I get scammed?

Never PayPal as a gift! Start a claim with the CC company.

file a claim with your CC company and PP will hold your account for disputing outside of PP. I got my refund in a couple of days from my CC. It happen to me a few years ago buying and selling on eBay. I just open a new PP account w a different CC.
