Exhaust Mods

Okay, Im Currently looking for a mod, that will increase my HP, but not kill me with the noise on a DD car.
I have the M performance Exhaust on the car now, i was looking to do either a
Res delete or a Challenge X-pipe (Street).

Would i have any gains with a res delete?
I wanted a tab more sound, but not much.

recommendation???? ANYBODY????

Most of the hp gain is from removing the primary cats, pick up a set of test pipes and you will be in good shape.

Resonators won't help, and secondary cat delete will not do much either since they are essentially HFC already (200 cell). It would be best to put test pipes on (remove primary cats which are 400 cell). There will be an increase in sound, on a stock exhaust, it is not terribly loud, no sure about on a MPE.

Also, do a search, a lot has been said about modifying exhausts to get power...

+1 for test pipes. on my personal car I gained about 20whp top end, about 24whp mid range.

Would a resonator in place of the primary cat restrict any hp's?

Hamburger fix (or whatever it is called), Tune, Delete-R... with exception of the tune, you get the power with test pipes and no check engine light for less than the cost of an x-pipe...

You probably won't notice much difference in HP with or without the resonator. It would be a good idea to add resonators if you are looking for a quieter setup.
