On the Grand Legacy

Word is that my new ride is on this boat. Anyone else?

Boat was built in 2009 so hopefully my M3 gets a nice cushy ride.

i'm pretty sure i'm on the grand legacy also. we have almost the same car except mine is dct (wife can't drive manual and i'm tired of manual in oc traffic). i wish bmw financial would offer some great subsidized rates, but my wife's CF is currently offering 2.9 so the commercial rates are pretty competitive right now. what mods are you planning? I'm going back and forth over clear bra, but after much deliberation, I'm pretty sure i'll get a custom full front from premier.

Its probably heresy in this forum, but I'd be surprised if I do anything but replace all the pieces that I wear out.

My wife is just the opposite - no way she'd figure out a DCT with the minimal time she'll spend behind the wheel. And she definitely knows her way around a stick...and that includes the one in the car.

Congrats guys. tracking the ship is fun, until it hits open water then it becomes really hard to find.

You and I might be the only guys around here that don't have the intent to do a lot of mods. I will replace the orange reflectors as soon as I get the car home, but otherwise it will stay pretty stock. I might do lowering springs, but I will have to wait and see if I really want to mess with it. An exhaust would also be cool, but I don't want loud or drone so options are limited.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now. The wife sat in it while it was parked in the garage once cause I asked her to. She won't be driving it unless I make her, and she definitly won't be taking it out without me.

Out of curiosity, when did the Grand Legacy leave Bremerhaven? I wonder if I have been tracking the Turandot all this time, yet my car is on the Grand Legacy...

Sorry dude, I have no idea when it left Bremerhaven. All I can tell you is my order went in around sept. 18.

You can go here to check if your car was on the Turandot. Under Customer Centre choose Cargo Tracking and then in the right hand box insert the VIN with no spaces. Should tell you where it is or was last seen by them.

Nah, WW is not good in uploading car VIN’s into their system.

Just going by my experience - which worked fine. I did notice a problem when I inserted the space in the middle of the VIN. After eliminating, it was good to go.

Just to be sure - it should look like this with your VIN in the right hand box. If it says it cannot locate - I suspect it's on a different ship

^^^ Yeah man, thank you, but it hasn't worked for me. My build date was around 9/20, as of about 10/5 on the OC it said my car was en route. After doing some research on the WW site, I cam up with the Turandot as the ship it was likely on. the Turandot docked in Port Hueneme on 10/30, yet the OC still says en route
