FITMENT QUESTION: 255/305 PS2 with SPRINGS?
Whatsup guys,
I have a 2011 E92 M3 ZCP and am looking to get a set of 19" BBS LM for it(11in in the rear).....decided on PS2 tires...and am going to run 255 up front with a 305 in the rear..... A drop with these rims is a necessity, so I'm looking to get a springs (which ones Im not sure, will make another thread on that), but my main concern is rubbing. What do you guys think? Anyone have experience with this set-up, or something close to it? Thanks! |

I am running 295 in the back with no drop. No rub but its damn close. I don't know how people run even 295s in the back with drop. I'd think 305s might rub even without springs. Email the sponsors, they are very knowledgeable about wheels and tire fitment.

Are you going with 19 x 9.5" LM's for your fronts? If so I would consider running 275/30/19 in the front to better match the 305/30's in the rear.

I don’t know your priorities with the car, but that is really an extreme stagger in tire sizing, and will do nothing good for handling dynamics. It is practically the amount of stagger used in a 911, and that is with the rear engine weight bias.

Not necessarily. It depends on the tire that you use and the wheel offset. I think you could get away with it if you use PS2's as you planned. My understanding is the primary issue with rubbing on the M3 is the overall diameter of the tire. 255/35's are the largest diameter that fit without rubbing. 275/30's have a smaller diameter than 255/35's. You should also contact WheelSTO; they are very helpful and knowledgable about these things.

Yeah I'm on 19s. I'm running 295/30-19 pirelli pzero on a 19x10.5 rim w et22 offset. It's a tight fit. If I was dropped I think I'd need some serious camber action to not rub.
