Ha. IF it gets better! I briefly met with ywj3110 over the weekend and went for a brief spin on Huron River Pkwy. We should all plan on getting together at some point.

Huron River Drive you mean? I haven't been out there in a few years, but definitely the best road in Ann Arbor!

(Huron Pkwy is currently the worst road in Ann Arbor with all the construction, what a hassle to get to and from work!)

Yup, Huron River Drive. Thanks for the correction! Within the vicinity of Ann Arbor, there is no comparison. If you're willing to venture further, the drive to Hell, Michigan (yes, it exists) is phenomenal.

I went there again with my friend for a drive doing few passes just like we did last time. And when we pulled over to that small parking lot to head back, this old man came and told us that he is going to report to the police about me and my friend speeding.........................

I think I saw you on Main St last night ~7:45pm; car sounded good!

I'm always scared about cops hiding around the bend on Huron River Dr... but the few times I've been out there I've never seen any.

Huron River Dr - I haven't seen cops out there but have heard from others that they do hide around bends/dips/etc occasionally.

Pick up a Valentine One stat if you haven't gotten one already.

Fortunately for you, some random old dude claiming you were speeding isn't grounds for anything at all. As far as I know, you weren't speeding

I actually had a V1 for about 4 years, but eventually grew sick of the CONSTANT noise it made due to automatic door openers on X and K band. I picked up a Passport 9500ix and, while it doesn't have the arrows, it still has excellent sensitivity, is incredible high tech and user customizable. The ability to lock out false signals via GPS is so great, and I don't get a single beep on known routes unless it's a cop.

It would be great if Valentine would update their 20-year-old design, but until then, I'm sticking with the excellent 9500ix. Had it hardwired into the 335i with a remote display/mute button (can be used to manually lock out false signals if you dont want the unit to do it automatically).

I'm hoping the trim around the E93 windshield will allow a similar installation in the M.

Looks like fun but I'm busy most of tomorrow and that's a bit of a drive! I'm trying to come to terms with the M3s godawful fuel economy after the 335i

Great talking to ya! I forgot to ask if you were on the forum. Looking forward to seeing your car. Glad there are some other Ms in the area. Maybe we can organize a small meet/drive for early July.

Thought I saw you in front of the Anytime Fitness a few days back, TurboSpecC. I was driving the red M3. I did see you wave and figured you were the owner of the pristine white M3 convertible that I had just seen in the parking lot...didn't mean to be rude but, unfortunately, was rushing back in to work for an emergency. Otherwise, would've stopped to chat!
