What is the implication of installing spacers for a car still under original factory warranty ????

Can it later be used as pretext by a hesitant dealer to resist doing warranty work for example let's say randomly the rear differential start making a lot of noise ? What is bmw policy on warranty when car is fitted with those aftermarket parts that are installed either by the owner himself or an aftermarket part reseller ?

Haven't seen any issues arrive from warranty on a properly installed spacer in the past, however dealership policies can vary.

This goes for any aftermarket part.

You guys are still selling this garbage? I can't believe how much these pos spacers vibrated on my M3. Emailed MS and no response. Heard through the grapevine that MS and EAS knew of the problem of bad fitment and quietly tried to make the problem go away.

So what happened to all the people out there with the 12mm spacers that didn't fit? They are just getting screwed and enjoying steering wheel vibration while MS doesn't fix their issue?

F**K this company. Stick with H&R or something.

I'd have been halfway satisfied having thrown my spacers out in the trash if MS actually responded to my email.

At what speeds did they vibrate, Edward?

You'd have to go at least 65 to feel it in the front. The 12 mm spacers weren't machined enough to fit flush inside a stock ZCP rim.

You probably would never feel the rear vibrate because the vibration isn't sent up through a steering rack.

Those things lasted on my car not 24 hours after I felt the vibration for the first time.

Looks great, but from your pictures I don't see how the rears aren't rubbing under full compression.

I'm surprised it doesn't rub as well. My mechanic even said it may rub after installing the springs and spacers. There's barely any finger gap in the rear. I would've preferred it to be a little higher in the rear but that's okay.

The rubbing usually occurs where the bumper and quarter panel meet.

I can't believe it doesn't rub as well. I'm running pretty much the same setup as you, but on 18s and it rubs when I hit big bumps/dips on the road. Maybe you just haven't hit any yet...although I also find that hard to believe with the sh*t roads in NY. lol

I'm lowered on KW Sleeves and currently running 18mm front / 15mm rear spacers. Fronts don't rub at all, although the rears rub slightly when hitting big bumps/dips on the road. The rubbing doesn't happen often, so I don't mind because this combo looks the best IMO.

I also ran the usual 15mm front / 12mm rear spacer combo for awhile. It also looks great and doesn't rub whatsoever. Below is a pic of that combo...

I have 15mm spacers on the back of my zcps with 265 35s and it doesn't look like the pics on here at all. Looks to me like i could nearly fit a 25mm spacer. I was thinking of going with 20 rear and either 10 or 15 in front. Most likely 10. Im on H and R sport springs.

Wheels will camber inward on compression, adding a slight bit more room.

20mm is pretty aggressive, maybe go with 15/18mm instead?

Thank you...no problem. Yes, I feel 18mm fronts are perfect and I suppose you could run 12mm in the rear, but not sure how good that would look although it would definitely work without rubbing. Seems from seeing all the examples here that a 3mm difference front to back is prime for getting that even look. I might get my alignment checked again soon although it seems to be fine. Maybe I can get the 15mm rears to work without rubbing through some alignment adjustment.

So do you think r 12mm and f 15mm combination will satisfy me? Or f18 r15 will make perfect looking without rubbing with KW Sleeves ? But i really don't want sticking out at all either rim or tire. Like looking for the best flush option without rubbing. I eventually want to replace the rims with either bc hb29 or dpe cs10 black but it will take some time they re really pricey, or if i catch someone selling here will be great!

I'm planning on putting KW HAS or V3 soon, mainly because I want to keep the EDC but also have the drop.
The car has ZCP wheels with 255/275 PSS. I'm leaning towards 12/10 but I've read there are problems with the 10s. And I'm pretty sure 15/12 would rub based on my measurements.
What size spacers do you guys think would work without rubbing?
