Im under the impression from searching around the forum and speaking to people that yes you can do that. I just ordered TPMS to run in my winter setup, all I need are tires, and my car to come

I have two sets of wheels. There's no issue with having TPMS in both sets.

You can absolutely have a different set of TPMS in each sets of your wheels. You would just have to reset the TPMS when you're swapping wheels for the car to recognize that there is a different set of wheels and TPMS on the car.

I didn't have it like this on my BMW (yet) but I had it setup like this on my Lexus. It was great until one of the tires in the garage would go low on air and start setting off false positives lol. Just keep the other tires far enough away or full of air and you should be good!

Three sets of wheels/tires here--summer (TPMS), winter (TPMS), track (no TPMS). Lucky that my wife puts up with the tire storage!

I don't think Canadian cars have Pressure monitors in the wheels. I believe you have an inertia system instead.

Question for the folks with multiple TPMS sets.
I have a 2011 M3. I know the 08/09 TPMS will NOT work on my car? How about the 2010 TPMS? Is that compataible with the 2011? Thanks, Dave

The two different TPMS is for MY06-09 and then MY10+, so the 2010 TPMS will work on your MY11 M3.

As long as BMW does not change the parts again for MY13, it should work.

Or just use the Macht Schnell TPMS module to turn off TPMS monitoring during winter.
