You meant dents not cents, right? Glad you posted about this. I have TONS of dents and only on the drivers side "aluminum" door trim. I though I was being a bit careless putting my Halliburton Zero aluminum briefcase into the rear foot space and maybe hitting the trim, but I never actually caught myself doing so. It must be the seat belt hitting it when unlatching. I'll probably wait until right before the warrany runs out and request it be replaced.

Brushed aluminum is known for being ultra-sensitive to scratching and knicks...your best bet is to do what swamp said and wait until it has really gotten bad and then just replace it. You could always pay the money and swap it with another trim at that time.

On my old 330i I had brushed aluminum trim that got a few dents on it, mostly seat belt marks. I kinda liked the dents though. Somehow they just looked cool.

when it gets scratched
take it off and have it covered with leather or something

I just bought a used 2006 bmw 330xi in January, it still has 1 year of warranty left on it. I was wondering does anyone know how much it would cost to have the aluminum trim replaced at the dealership? I've e-mailed asking but i have never gotten a response.
