The drink chiller in the arm rest is great but...a cautionary tale...don't put your wallet in there. I did and it got all soggy and wet.

(I only got the car yesterday, far too excited to listen to everything the dealer told me!)

There is an on/off switch to quell that problem.

X6 and 5 series have more hardware though - namely the ability to open from all four doors. M3 has the same setup as the 3 series - only two doors unlock (which on the coupe/cabrio is all doors, sure), and it only cost $500. Anyway, even at only a $500 value its still a good deal - if you want the ZTP to begin with.

Does anyone know if this feature (the ambient lighting along the interior doors) is also available in the non-M 3-series cars (328i, 335i, etc.)? Would be nice if it was exclusive to the M3.
The twin beams of light by the rear view mirror are still there in the E92 M3, along with the addition of an extra pair for the rear.

The strips of light on the door and rear section are just for the coupes (and I believe the cab), but not the sedan (E90), either M3 or standard.

True, but they were specifically talking about the strip of ambient lighting running along the upper part of the door, which is unique to the E92 (and E93 I believe).

Does it work this way outside the US or is it just us?
Remote will close my windows and also just touching the door handle for an extended period of time will close all the holes.

I was somewhere I didnt know on Friday.

I had 5 miles left of petrol because the station I went to didnt have high octane.

I pulled over.

Googled petrol stations.

Rang the nearest garage straight from the Google search results that came up which I thought would have high octane (Shell) and asked if they were open and had Optimax. Navved there straight from the Google search results(6 miles away, just made it)

Filled up.

Doesnt get much cooler than that.

This should clear things up. The part closest to driver slides forward.

Does everybody get the sliding armrest in the U.S.?

I know in other markets it's an option. They don't all slide forward.

Thanks. I was looking for a release button and didn't realize that it just slides forward. Cool feature!

False. The ambient lighting along the door is only on the e92's, not the e90s.

So it looks like you can close the windows in the E9x M3 with the remote. That's good. I wonder if remote open/close is just with CA though. Can anyone without CA confirm this one way or the other?

No it doesn't. Your car equipped with Google?

I was messing around with the Nav on the trip back to my house and it's cool how far you can zoom in and out. You can see your car passing named streets in realtime and you can also zoom out 500 miles and see your position relative to New York, I'm in IL.
The realtime estimated arrival time is pretty cool too.

I tried both and doesn't work on my NA spec car.

We don't get Google in the US. Yet.

Sounds like this is your first nav equipped car. Did you discover how it will highlight and find points of interest yet?

It is but will just keep getting later and later if you get slowed down in traffic. But nice to have anyways.
