My week 36 build (sept 7) car did come with the combox I am happy to report.

FWIW, I was week 35 originally and got pushed out to 36. Not sure if it was due to the combox issue or not.
Need to see some pictures! How are you liking the Start-Stop engine feature?

I'm almost 100% confident that once you are in status 150 you can't change the color...

Thanks. I think white is classy and have not had white in 25 years. I was just tossing IB in my head if I was able to go see one,I know its a stand out color. BMW gave me too much time too think way too much.

Unfortunately, I didn't bring the data cable for my camera. So, it would have wait until I am back home. Sorry.

Based on a couple of things:
1. No more BMW Y-cable. I can take the Apple supplied USB cable and plug in directly.
2. Album art is now displayed on the idrive screen.

I didn't look under to actually confirm the box, I am pretty sure we can safely conclude that my car has it.

No data cable!?!? Well you're no help! I take it you had a great delivery at the Welt, looking forward to your write-up and pictures.

No need to look if the iDrive is displaying the album art, that is a combox function. Looking forward to seeing how the album art looks on the iDrive screen...

Great news, my car is on the boat headed to the states!! Left early this morning as far as I can tell. It is on a K-Line ship (the Bosporus Highway) and scheduled to land in Burnswick GA Sept 29th. CA said car should be at the dealer by Oct 12th. I'm hoping that two week stretch between landing and at the dealer is a conservative estimate and that it could here a bit earlier.

I'm curious if there were changes to the dash - specifically, and additional button similar to that shown in the image below - for the new engine start/stop feature. (The below is from a European production X3.)

The start/stop button is at the bottom of the center console. It's not next to the start button. There were pictures of an M3 that had it but I can't seem to find the thread.

I am hoping for you too. I hope I am right behind you by 2weeks. If my car gets here by Oct 31 I can use my 1k coupon that I will show dealer when I get there, I be real pissed if I miss out by a week or two. My car went to status 150 on 16th,expected finish 24 I hope a few days ahead. Then I hope next boat is soon.

That's absolutely correct.

Unfortunately, you can't disable it permanently. It can be turned off, but it'll reset to the ON position when you start your car.
