Pre lci to lci trunk conversion

So I got everything on, minus the trunk stops (how the hell do you get those out), but I'm having problems adjusting the trunk. It just doesn't seem to shut easily at all. Just wondering how much adjusting everyone had to do when converting from a pre lci to lci e90 trunk?

Don't worry, my man, it'll get there. Is it catching on the truck lock latch? Can you get some pics?

I took off the latching mechanism and just try to get the trunk down. The left side won't go down enough to be flush with the quarter panels but the right side is easy. Maybe the trunks fitment sucks? It's an oem trunk..

There are two plastic rivets holding each trunk stop in. You have to carefully push them in until they pop out of the trunk stop. Then, just pull the trunk stop off and fish for the plastic rivets inside the trunk. Reverse steps to install on new trunk lid.

thanks, i actually got these out last night by just going at it with a flathead.. it worked for the most part.

so i got the trunk fitting better but it still sits a little to the left.. should be an easy fix but im afraid that if i adjust it again ti might get worse lol.

I literally just did this two weeks ago and took a few tries before everything lined up. It was kinda frustrating because I did an OEM swap as well and was surprised it didn't line up from the start.

You know where the bracket bolts onto the truck itself? Loosen those up so that the trunk slides a bit side to side and forward and back. Now slide it to either direction, open and close it a few times, then make the proper adjustment before you tighten it down.

I never had to play with the bump stops. What issues are you having with those?
