What would you say if I told you...
These are stock angel eye bulbs? There's a coding adjustment that bumps up the brightness, which takes a lot of the yellow out, and makes them more visible. They still don't match the color of the D1S (nor could they), but I'm a lot happier with the color and distribution of light.
If this has been posted about before, my apologies, but it's not something I was aware of until today.

I was pretty impressed, actually. I'm still going to swap them out, but...it satiates me until the new bulbs arrive. It may save some people some money, though.

What if i told you, bumping up the brightness = higher voltage = greater chance of your 35W rated wires to melt and cause more of a headache just for better looking AE's?
If anyone wants whiter AE's, just get a set of LED's. I'm glad i'm over that phase, so many people with white angels, now I think stock 35W is actually unique and looks great when exposed to direct sunlight because of the color temp. Lux is awesome, don't get me wrong, but for $200 / set I'd rather spend it on maintenance tbh. However, I do have it coded to not DIM when low beams are on.
