No worries. I sent Kwinn a reminder. I'm not in super hurry at the moment, so I'll give him a chance to get back to me.

For all you lease experts, does this seem like a fair deal on a 2011 E92 M3 Coupe?

E92 Coupe, MSRP 75,425
Sale price for lease is 69,500
1000 less if I apply my BMW Drive Certificate, or I can take it as cash, and apply it toward the 1000 shipping fee I must pay to get the car here to the east coast. They've asked me to pay for shipping, because they say their giving me the lowest prices already.

Does this seem like a good deal?
Their lease quote is with my first month payment and my total state sales tax of (300) paid up front (they get us on vehicle registration instead of sales tax)
So monthly with 3 years at 15k miles/year is 889.00
Thoughts?
This includes the 725 acquisition fee and the dealer’s doc fee of 500.

Appreicate any perspective!
Thanks!

It helps if you post the invoice price of the car.

IS350,

There are resources on the forum here which you can use to calculate the invoice price of the car yourself, assuming you have an itemized quote or sticker picture from the dealer you're considering the purchase from.

Your price of 69500 is about 92% of the MSRP. Considering that includes shipping (you use your 1000 credit for it) and other fees listed above, the purchase price seems pretty good. The only way you could do better is ED on a new car.

What are your residual value and money factors on the lease? I've read that 60% is pretty standard residual for BMW and a money factor under .002 is pretty good.

2012 E92 M3, MSRP 75025, I'm paying 7100. I'm pretty ok with this price. Considering all the facts. Such as I'm in IN, not many dealer around, next closest dealer is 65 miles away, don't want to waste time going there again and again. cuz I'm in college.

Haha, I was waiting for this car since it first came out, and when I going to buy a M3 last year, my parents considered safe issue and made me end up in a x5 35i, I proved them I'm a good drive over the last year and now finally swithing into my dream M3~

@ GOLFFRR - heyy!!! New member here, just joined. This forums been great. was lurking around here for about a month before finally decided to join. I actually talked to Rudolph at StevethomasBMW this morning and he has taken preliminary details from me for my MY2012 M3. He told me that he was going to talk to either Ryan or someone who deals with this on a daily basis and get back to me today or on monday. so waiting to hear from you guys. Not sure how the distance thing is exactly going to work out (I am in Oklahoma) and am a bit uneasy since I havent really done something like this before, but will see...

am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this (moderators - feel free to move this to an appropriate forum)

@ GOLFFRR - does BMW still offer the "BMW M3 performance exhaust for the MY2012 M3's?? That would be sweet if they still do, or can it be sourced from the 2011 parts bin since its basically the same car??

VOB? Passport? If you're dealing with Passport, Talk to John Dugan. If you're dealing with VOB, talk to Roxanne Roche.

I would go with David, the other forum member/dealer. he offers invoice pricing.

If you are getting more than 7 percent off the msrp than you are either lying or getting a price lower than invoice. I do not think people should get the idea that you can get a car for less than invoice here. So the guy above getting it for 9 percent off msrp is lying or misunderstanding his pricing.

You can look around and get invoice somewhere which is 7 percent.

Residual value is 56 percent for the m3 coupe in 2012. MF is .00195.

That means if you et invoice on a roughly 75k dollar car and you put NO money down you are looking at 1k per month. The dealls are not as good as the 2011's but still pretty darn good relative to other brands of cars in that price range.

New buyers should use the 1k per month on a 75k msrp car as the goal to shoot for. Anything less than you either put money down or you need to do ED.

Now if you get a car with msrp of 70k or less than you can get into 850-950 dollar payments if you get invoice pricing. You can go from there to figure out ballpark payment for a car at invoice pricing. The worst part in 2012 is the residual dropped and MF increased a bit. Probably ends up costing about 50 bucks more a month than a similar 2011. But the benefit is you have a 2012!
