Are you working on Christmas Eve?

I'm sure most retail workers are, but what about office folks?
Our office is technically closed but a few of us are going in (time and 1/2) in the morning. If we didn't, (because our work is daily stuff), by Wednesday, we would have a mess on our hands!

I volunteered to work but not sure yet as my supervisor's are lazy about posting schedules. I work for the government so we get 2.5X for working Christmas.

Not this year, we normally work a half day (manufacturing) on Christmas eve, but it's not worth it on a Monday.

Not me. Boeing shuts down from xmas through the new year. But I do not get all the holidays off that other people get throughout the year.

yep. I'm doing cash positioning for a corporate, though. since we will still receive customer payments and pay suppliers on that day, I'll need to work a few hours in the morning to make sure things balance out

My office is open until 1pm. Corporate said it's optional if we'd like to show up, though, as our positions, office, and location (skyscraper in San Fran) are not client-facing.

I'll be going in, though, as we're all planning on having a Christmas Eve party most of the day.

No. I worked very hard to obtain a career important enough that I can schedule my time around days off and I get paid enough where one measly day at 1.5 pay is of little significance to me. But I can understand those shirts at the Gap don't fold themselves and the drive thru at Burger King doesn't operate itself, so kudos to you folks who work on Christmas Eve. I could never do it, nor want to do it.
