Probably, everything is a pain with the ZCP wheels

I am willing to try it out. Going on a little vacation for a week or so, but I'll order some and try it out sometime when I get back!

Yep. It works fine. Just spray and the overspray peels right off.

This might sound crazy- but anyone plastic dip their entire car for a matte black look? Especially considering it can be peeled right off...

There is member on the thread above this one who paint rolled a protective film on his car for a upcoming road trip and it ended up curing like a frozen finish, not bad in my opinion and it also peels off.

Interested to maybe try this since Fonzie now includes a NEW and IMPROVED sprayer in all of his whole car kits.

See video for reference:

I will probably try the matte white just for kicks.

Guys painting their wheels.

I see this done a couple ways.

1. Painting while on the car. This has some obvious drawback but there's one major advantage.

2. Painting off the car. Here's what I'm wondering about. If you don't mask of the lug nut seat, are you reattaching the wheels with a rubber buffer? A buffer that might contain some drips and runs being at the bottom of a hole.

Just curious if anyone has dealt with this and hopefully attention might be paid to this area.

When done correctly, this stuff doesn't run. I haven't seen any residue or product behind the lug holes.

I understand all of that...but it's a liquid and all liquids can run. I'm talking about in the lug bolt holes where the conical bolt or nut seats.

Just hoping that people pay attention to keeping the lug seat clean and metal only.

I get what you're saying now. (I also get that any liquid can run )

As far as anything being between the actual bold and the part of the hole where the bolt makes any contact, of course it gets coverage of product. I'm not sure I understand the emphasis on metal to metal here. If there's anything between the two, it's an amount that would be unmeasurable. If it's torque concerns, I had the same thought and have been checking the torque on my wheels weekly and nothings changed.

If you thought of it then cool.

Some might not and allow it to get thick down there. I know no one would ever install a rubber or even metal washer on the wheel bolts and just might not realized this product has caked up in the hole.

I would probably stick something down in there before spraying. Maybe the lug bolts...then pop them out and peel the stuff off. Haven't sprayed wheels with the stuff so just going over it in my head now.

I don't think you have to worry about getting to much spray into the lug nut holes. I sprayed my wheels and it was difficult to get thick coverage into the lug nut holes without getting runs in the paint. I just sprayed short burst into the holes to get just enough coverage to cover the original finish of the wheels. Difficult to explain but I hope this makes sense.
