Help with iPhone!!

My brother's iphone 4 keeps restarting to the apple logo but doesn't boot up. I've tried hard reset to try to get itunes to recognize it but it didn't work. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

If you have verizon call their tech support and explain what happened. Happened to me a while back. They will tell you to plug it in to the computer and hold down the home and lock buttons for a while and then keep holding onto one of them, forgot which one it was. It should be back up and running within no time

Ah thank you so much!!! I've been trying to do that all day but it didn't work. Then after reading your comment I searched for it and found a youtube video showing exactly what to do. It took about 5 attempts but it's finally in recovery mode. Thank you!!
