Palo Alto or South Bay Area Forum Members? Road Questions....
I'm wondering if there are any forum members in the South Bay that might know a thing or two about road conditions going into/around Boulder Creek and then on to Davenport (eventually landing in Santa Cruz) from Palo Alto.
We're thinking about a fall road trip and this looks like a fun route where we could hit a couple of state parks and get in a fun drive as well. However I don't want to take the M3 if there's a lot of gravel, potholes or other hazards. PM me if you have any insight. |

I have driven on these without problems:
1) http://************/ycx5vwv (via pescadero creek road and hwy 1) 2) http://************/y8f3jnb (via skyline blvd, 9 and empire grade) 1) better views of the ocean 2) more turns, less traffic |

I ride on my bike 9, 25, 84, 1, and all those almost every weekend.
Perfect place for the M3, although last weekend was really cold and lots of debris on the road due to the wind....

My vote goes to Pescadero. It's an incredibly fun road. Careful with a few of the goat roads around Gozo's creek road, some have been recently chip sealed.
