unless you think he should be using one hand only - that would be a challenge with all that power!
Your hands should always be at the 9 and 3. You learn that at performance driving schools, and regular driving schools as well.

Regardless, you're not supposed to for safety reasons as well. The airbag can go off (I know, what are the chances) and you can cause injury to yourself. I know that sounds ghey, but barring the safety reasons I think it looks stupid too. But hey, that's just me. I think holding the wheel at the 10 and 2 makes people look really stressed or something. I'm really relaxed with my driving position.

Haha!!! What we mean is that you hold the wheel and the 9 and 3 always but when you turn into a corner, you clearly will steer and not be at 9 and 3!!! Or at least that is what I meant!!!!

Yea I know that. I wasn't sure what exactly you were referring to though. I do agree though, people who do drive 10 & 2 look stressed.

I've even heard it's even better when cruising to have hands at 7 or 8 and 4 or 5. Around that area. Who the hell knows though. I just do whatever's comfortable. Which is usually my left elbow on the rest and hand b/w 8 and 9.

Actually, he's holding it exactly how he's supposed to hold it. In racing school they'll teach you to hold it at between 9-10 and 2-3. In fact, it was always been 9-10 and 2-3. Only after the invention of the air bag did people tell you to switch to 3 and 9 due to safety concern.
If you look at any true sport car, you'll see that this is designed into the steering wheel. the little hump on the steering wheels is meant for your thumbs to rest. The 997, the M3, the Ferrari steering wheels all have these two humps. The people who'll tell you to hold it at 9 and 10 are probably your first driving instructor, which begs the questions.

Last set of instructors that told me to hold it at 9 and 3 were all the guys over at the M School.
