Undertray panel - Best air flow management?
The front spoiler is more delicate than the previous models.
I read somewhere that it was due to the improved under tray panel to direct airflow which improve aredynamic, etc, which no longer require a big front spoiler and rear big wing spoiler. Anybody has the picture of the underside of the car? |

Search
There was a topic, pics and I reposted on this (in regards to the pics only). Search around a bit. OP: I am very curious what and where you heard/read this. All totally new to me and I am fairly well informed.

You can find a reference to this on:
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/index_highend.html "Athletic -> Aerodynamics -> i " Quote from the website: "Why fight resistance when you can use it to your advantage? Thanks to the intake hole in the powerdome, the V8 high-rev engine breathes cool, fresh air. The front apron distributes the airstream directly onto the engine and transmission cooler as well as underneath the panelled underbody. In combination with the rear diffuser and spoiler, uplift is effectively minimised." Last edited by ilron; 05-14-2007 at 01:25 PM.. Reason: removed some obvious typos |

Delicate
The parts I was questioning was trhe part about the new front spoiler being "more delicate" as well as it replacing requirements for other aerodynamic parts. There is no way anything on delicacy.can be known - the car ain't released.

Here's a couple--don't show that much relative to your topic, though.
