BMW M performance carbon fiber parts on non carbon roof M3?

Hello All,

I am having a bit of a conflict, and am looking for opinions from fellow M3 owners. I have a Jerez black E92 M3, and unfortunately I have a non carbon roof (moonroof) car. I say "unfortunately" because the car was spec'd exactly how I'd want it, except the roof. I digress...

I finally got around to ordering the carbon front splitters and the spoiler. Upon test fitting, I can't tell if I think the car looks ricey or not. There isn't any carbon anywhere else on the car, and I'm really not sure if it fits on a non carbon roof car.

Opinions from the forum please? Basically just curious if you guys think it looks cheesy. I'm considering getting the parts painted to match.

Thanks,

-Bob

You could always paint it if it bothers you that much

Just because you don't have a CF roof doesn't make the splitters look "ricey". Jerez Black will complement to CF splitters and in my opinion leave it as it is. It will look nice. Don't worry. You paid good $$s for it and if you're happy with the looks don't worry about others. It's your taste that matters. Enjoy

I have the CF splitters on my space grey M3 sedan which does not have the CF roof. Looks great IMO. The only I'd about your set up is the CF bits might get lost in the the Jerez black. The CF makes for a nice contrast w/ my space gray... In the end, if you like it, keep them.

I think the combo would look just fine. Personally I got my spoiler painted jerez to match, but I didn't go with the splitters either.

I have the splitters, mirror caps and tail - no roof - on blue. Looks great - but it's not just in the front but throughout.

Sedans don't have CF roofs and a lot of us have CF splitters. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Here is a crapy iPhone pic of the BMW Perf spoiler and Challenge Race Diff I just had installed on my E90 jet black. The CF looks great, I think black and CF are a great combo.

Didn't like the look of M Performance carbon fiber spoiler on my M3, so I bought a different one:

...and it came with a free car.
