Painting SC plenum

So anyone here have experience painting an Active Autowerke SC plenum/manifold? It's currently a textured black but since it's used and chipping, thought I should get it refinished. Body shop I usually go to said that the stripping is gonna be labor intensive, possibly acid dip or a some kind of stripper. Could I powdercoat it instead? Media blasting would be cheaper too.

Have you called active? They may be able to work a core exchange with you. I believe they have some painted plenums on hand. I also have the wrinkle black and looking to do a red manifold and intake cover.

if its been painted before then it shouldn't be serious to repaint, shop around
