Wow, mine aren't quite there yet, just a little blurple.

Another one: ....when you're doing laps in your dreams, then go to the track the next day with a solid image of the line in your head.

Seriously, wtf is wrong with people. I was almost in need of a drive through penalty the other day when somebody in the outside lane in a double-left turn intersection (I was in inside lane) decided that they HAD to be in my lane to make the turn.

He turned in on me, officer! *blank stare*

...you stop taping your front bumper because it looks like tan lines when you take it off.
...people look at you funny when you tell them you're happy the last set of tires lasted 8k.
...you paint your calipers for temp indication.
...you wonder why this pig didn't come with brake ducts
...there is more brake pad material left on the car/wheels than the pads
...3/32nds of tread on a tire is not dangerous, it's the sweet spot
...you go around the roundabout that extra time, just because nobody is around
...you start giving driving tips to your s/o (never a good idea)
...the collection of tires have to sit in climate control so they don't harden

...you fill up at an off-track gas station on the way home, see $4.35 and think "cheap gas"!

[93 gas is actually cheaper at VIR than in CT!]

+1

When you change your tires it looks like a NASCAR pit stop because of all the brake dust that pours out.

Seriously my favorite thread in a long time.

...you've got a summer/track bumper (Ericsson) and a winter bumper (OEM), knowing full well each takes a different type of abuse. They even get repainted during their 'off-season'.

...you scrape your studs out of the rotor hats and peel off the track graphic stickers before taking the car in for service so as not to have to answer any unnecessary questions.

...you forget to peel the tape off your rear license plate and take off the number plates before heading off-site to re-fuel... and a cop pulls a U-turn to follow you there... at least until Starbucks appeared before the gas station.
