Early Break-in service?
Hi guys,
I'm considering driving my M3 back from the dealer that I'm getting it from, which would be a distance of about 1200 miles. I remember seeing some people talking about having service alerts coming up around the 600 mile mark... though most of those seem to have been early warnings for the 1200. Anyways, what I want to know is if there is any possibility that my car would need a service before 1200 miles, which would cause me to have to stop at a dealer before I got home. Thanks! |

Don't worry about it. It's unlikely you will receive a service reminder early under conservative driving conditions. And assuming nothing is wrong, a few hundred miles either side of 1200 is not going to do any harm. Just schedule your break-in service now with your dealer, and take care of it when you get home.
