Maybe because there's no torque converter in the M3's DCT the 335is's automatic transmission can be a bit more comfortable. Otherwise M3>335is in every other way. Then it's all about cost as previously stated.

Why don't we start the MT vs DCT dialogue again? That could be fun.
Really? 4 pages on what's a better DD? Those with only 1 car have their decision made for them. Those with 3 cars can pick and choose according to the weather, need or whim. Never a final solution for this thread. |

By the numbers there are cheaper more efficient ways of getting from point A to B, primarily when your purpose is a commuter car. Can you DD an M3, yes. Should you, that is up to you - it can be whatever you want it to be. DD, garage queen, weekend track car..etc. |
