New here, E93 suspension setup advice needed
Hi everyone,
Just recently (1 week ago) got a '12 E93 M3 in jet black/fox red. So far I have Alpine Halo upgrade in 6000k, gloss black grills and matched reflector, and have an AA intake filter and Forgestar 19x10s in gunmetal being shipped as we speak mated to 265/295s PSSs My future plans in the short term include a akra exhaust and maybe a tune and later (deciding to do when warranty out) will include a VT2-650. I would like to use this car occasionally on the tracks but mainly it will be a "spirited" DD. With that being said, I have been researching suspension options and after extensive research and discussion with a local shop here, decided I would go coilover, mainly AST 4150 with 500/750 spring rates. I've thought about KW sleeves to keep the EDC and have heard of noise issues with KW v3s. I have so far just driven my car in Mmode all the time and think the ride is just perfect for me. After talking with AST about my current "feel" of the car, we decided on those spring rates (500/700+50 for the cabrio) so that the "softest" setting would be 2 clicks softer than M-mode. What I like about the AST is the ability to customize the spring rates in the future as I see fit (ESP if I decide to go balls to the wall with a VT3). This is a bit more expensive than the Bilstein PSS10s, which is my 2nd choice... What do y'all think? Thanks for the input |

is 500/700 pretty stiff?
if its for road comfort primarily but better handling, i've read a lot on the ohlin R/T - I am gonna go that route as well. And they look very very nice. |

If you are going to go with a Akra, a BPM stage II tune with fetch 10 to 15 HP extra.
