Chance of air filter getting wet?
Sorry for the question but this puzzles me. Is there a chance, even a small chance that the air filter may get wet. I opened the filter box a long time ago an don't remember well the design but remember thinking this could happen. Also if I put for example RPI scoops, does that increases the chance of getting the filter wet if raining?

The filter should not get wet at all. There are drain holes on the bottom of the air box. Now, if you drive through a creek or river and the water is up the top of your bumper and you give it gas, then you'll have what is called hydrolocked your eingine. Might as well trash your car, because you won't drive the car, unless you put a new engine. I would not worry about your filter getting wet on normal driving conditions, even if it is raining.

^You'd have to do something very similar looking to that photo to hydrolock the engine.

Thanks for all the replies. This is why this is such a great forum. As absurd as my question may sound to some, I was really worried at times. Thanks again!
