New But Sad M3 Owner

Hello i am from Turkey my name is Burak.I just bought a 2011 m3 with 13.000km on it but it's been nothing but a sad experience by now because first i drove the car,it had a supercharger whine kind of a noise and dealer said it's the steering pump.I could not drive my car for 2 weeks the day after a bought it and now 2 day ago car says REDUCED ENGİNE POWER VİSİT NEAREST BMW SERVİCE.I mean i am so pissed now WTF I use to have an audi tts and a corvette c6 they are the cars that cost half the price of m3 but made ZERO problems.I also know that i made a mistake not to test the car first because i knew the owner Just wanted to share myself and my problems.

Thank you.

Take it to Borusan and they will take care of you.... This car will have much less troubles than your C6 which has no warranty where you live.... So relax and enjoy your car.

Doubtful that it will have less problems since actual data says C6s are are delivered with fewer initial defects and are more reliable than the E9X M3 both in the short and long term.

Sorry to hear that. but think about it this way, once its fixed Ask Borusan to remove the governer on the car as a consolation for your troubles. It wont void your warranty in turkey. Then you can drive it at full speed without being chased by cops.

Btw how is the gas prices treating your M3?

Shit happens, Borusan will take care of it.

Just came back from Istanbul (vacation). I wouldn't drive an M3 there. No traffic rules, more cars than the roads can handle... I'm not even going to comment on how people drive.

Sorry to hear it bro. E9x M3s seem to be so reliable. Hopefully dealer fixes the problem and you will have better experience after.

Driving in Turkey is great fun! I've done it from Istanbul to Antalya and all around the western coast. Sometimes it's bliss, sometimes you shit your pants...

It is fun to travel from Istanbul to Antalya, or to Izmir etc. Especially now that the roads are greatly improved. BUT, driving in Istanbul traffic is just stressful. Don't get me wrong, I can (and did) drive no problems, but it is not enjoyable.

Hmmm, bec for every 100 M3 sold there is 1 C6 sold.... The C6 guys are still screaming about rear diff problems.... That goes all the way back to LT1 days.

Been there (many times) and never going back to GM..... no matter what the he-ll they make and how fast it is.... it falls apart after 30K miles.... if you are lucky that is :-)

Yeah, it's pretty stressful. I used to enjoy starting a horn blasting session for no apparent reason, yet everyone would join in.

yea it happens man. When i first bought my m3 it was brand new. a few weeks later i started having troubles with reduce power engine lights and stuff. But be patient it happens often and the dealer will take care of the issue. It is worth your patients bec once they issues are resolved you will have nothing but fun with it afterwards.

Lol Again you are wrong, there are more C6s on the road than E90 M3s. I would feel sorry for GM but they got their horrid reputation the old fashioned way, they earned it. As for you I would suggest you actually learn something before you post or you're going to have to overcome the reputation you earned and like GM it won't be easy.

Every car has some quality control issues, the C6 and M3 are both far above average reliability in my experience and from everything I've read. I'm not a vette fan just because of the interior and feel, but they're quality cars.

I had a top pro race team running a E92 M3 tell me the engine was one of the most bulletproof motors BMW has ever made, they run stock internals with bolt ons on a S65 powered racecar.

BMW should take care of you.
