Realized after reading a lot of posts on this mod, having an '08 I still need to get the right switch so I have one on order from United BMW.

What do you mean?

I have an 08 and was planning on simply doing the "Lego" mod. This should work as many people around here have done that on 08's... including Monsta below.

Sorry...for clearification, I wanted the button on my light switch to have the symbol showing the white fog light on the rear fog light button. The "lego" method will work as I finally took apart my switch to see how it all worked.

An update also...I got news from United BMW that US customs wouldn't allow the switch to be brought into the US, even by a BMW dealership! I will be doing the part too then.

I know two sources who can bring us those switches directly from Germany if needed. Also, Tischer sells the Euro light switch for the regular E9Xs with both the front and rear fogs, so I don't see what's the problem with customs.

leather Z has them. I got the 08 switch from him and took the parts off that I needed and converted my 09 switch. yes it was expensive for just using the button and switch piece but it came out the way I wanted. go to the leather z website and put headlight switch in the search and it will come up. it comes with complete instructions. I think it was $115 plus shipping and I got it in two days. BTW I gave him the 09 part number if you're wondering and he wasn't able to get that one.

Yup...getting mine in tomorrow! They ONLY have a few E9x Euro switches, no M3 switches, which as stated by 09E92M34ME, you just have to take the blank form your stock switch & replace it where the front fog would be able to work.

FYI...They only have a few left in stock & after that, you won't be able to get one unless on ebay because BMW has discontinued letting them get into the US when ordering from a dealership.

Wonder why. Sounds radical, especially since car wasn't equipped with one from the factory, so no possible legal issues .

Hope that doesn't apply to ALL parts, since I was going to order a painted front euro bumper (no reflectors) if I ever needed one. Oh well.

RoverActive can get the Euro fog light switch (facelifted one) for $129.95

Euro bumper covers have never been available through US parts departments.

Is this product still available? Is Williamchang82 still around to take orders and send out the fog light button mod? I want to place an order but can't tell from the last few posts if William is still around and doing this.

Thanks.

Call Justin at RoverActive at (888) 297-6897. Ask for BMW part no. 61319169400 ('09 version). The cost is $129.95 and shipping is $5.95. He had to special order it for me, but I told him that others would be contacting him, so I believe he ordered extra. He told me it would be 2-3 weeks for it to come in, but it should be faster for you if he orders extras.

Correct. It is the part number for the '09 control element with chrome trim (PERLGLANZ CHROM) for vehicles with rain sensor (Regensensor S521A=JA), xenon lights (Xenon-Licht S522A=JA), and rear fog only (Nebelscheinwerfer S520A=Nein). Here's a link to pictures of that specific part.
