Another side note with Video in Motion:
The VIM works with both DVD's in the Player and with TV Shows & Movies stored in my iPhone while using the Media cradle in the center console. The fact that I leverage my iPhone as a video device in the car really makes this solution worthwhile.

With a DCT car could you get the shift lights to work all the time, just not in M mode? I miss that from my E46 M

Great Question. I miss that in my E46 as well. I see about a half a dozen cryptic settings related to the shift lights in the Cluster ECU. If I figure it out or find a solution I will update the thread. I would like to see it permanently on as well. To my knowledge it has not be cracked yet.

shift lights can be turned on regardless via iDrive via m key settings, you just really need to step on the throttle as the shift lights are responsive to which gear you are in and the throttle pressure/speed of rpm build up....
even without idrive, you should be able to simply just active the shift lights with the obc stalk...

Found it in the Supplementary owners manual. This is the shift light setup via the stalk to change it on the fly. You have to set the M Key setting in the iDrive M Drive menu if you want it on all of the time.

Update 06/10/2012
The default fuel reserve is 1/4 or .25 of a tank which comes on too early and is annoying. It can be coded to the lowest which is is 1/8 or .125. I previously coded it to 1/8 which was not quite enough of a buffer for me and came on a little too late for my liking. I moved the fuel reserve up a tick to .167 which is just above 1/8.

tlp is the man for coding. I have to make a return trip myself after getting start/stop done at the dealer.

Great thread! Have you looked into coding the Angel Eyes to be a bit brighter?

I know how but won't do it. I wouldn't recommend altering the voltages of the lights due to warranty issues. The OEM yellow lights look like crap. I would recommend some pnp LUX Angel Eyes in lieu of voltage coding in this case.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into those LUX Angel Eyes. The yellow hue looks terrible, especially when I see all these newer BMWs driving around town.
