Awesome! Good to hear y'all are learning from some of the issues we had at the PCA event.

Are you setting it up so that you can move cars on and off track at the same time? Seems like you could if you move the grid to by the medical center.

I might need to make this a bit more clear. http://texastrifecta.com/track-events/track-procedures/ I need to work on some pictures. :-)

We will grid on the cold pits. People in garages can exit the garage and directly enter the grid (unless you'd have to back up to get there- in that case you must go around the building). Traffic will exit the track going between the event center and the garage building. Traffic entering grid will enter on the same road (as you are looking at the track from the paddock, the traffic exiting the track will be on the RIGHT, traffic going to grid will be on the LEFT). We are having volunteers that will manage the car traffic as well as the foot traffic that is heavy in this area. Late to grid will require you to enter the opposite side of the building. Getting to grid early will earn you a drive around the paddock penalty.

We plan to release cars from grid once the last car is around turn 11. We are not kidding about blowing checkered flag. Miss one, you miss a session...miss it another time you are going home.

Definitely wanna STRESS where the pit entrance is. It is easy to miss and there is not a lot of margin for error.

can people who are not driving in this event (spectators) go to this event?

if so, what do we need to do?

I am not registered, but have some friends driving and a buddy and I wanted to come by to check it out and spend the weekend in austin

If you have $25,000...you can have your own track day at COTA.

Yup. They increased it from 24 to 36 cars I think. They will get it for awhile then the deep pockets will move on to something else.

BMW USA is holding this event Friday afternoon. It's not a HPDE but it gets you and your car on the track for Zero.

Bad ass day!!! COTA was amazing, a bit of confusion in the morning, but rapidly fixed in the afternoon which turned out to be a great day. The "Killeen" did not happen today!

Like I predicted...BMWCCA kept things on track and off the fences and barriers. Great job, I think all but two racers brought there car home without major body damage. One blown engine on track and a diff spill in the paddock. Looked like an otherwise flawless weekend!
