Dinan ECU Flash - Is it worth it
What is the latest on the Dinan software for '10 E92 M3? Considering this as a first mod and was looking for some advise. Is the Dinan software worth it? How about the power pully?

They should have software for '10 models... I think? I'm pretty sure they do lol..
Anyway, Dinan tunes are generally pretty conservative. If your looking for a modest increase in power, Dinan is the way to go. Otherwise, I'd recommend a more aggressive tune like GIAC or Gintani. Get more for your money lol. Pullys are good first mods. Some good brands off the top of my head are Active Autowerkes, Gintani, and Dinan. I'm sure theres others. Check the sponsors section. |

I have it and like it BECAUSE it's a bit conservative, not frowned upon by the dealership, and because re-flashes are unlimited. It's true, others out there are more aggressive and get better gains, but this was the route I decided to choose.

I have spent thousands on my Dinan suspension mods, which I can make use of every day.
Does anyone feel that a 9 hp gain at 6000 rpm that Dinan software provides is even perceptible, much less worth $800? |

ESS Tune
Did you make additional mods with the ESS tune to get those numbers. Seems like a lot of HP for just a ECU flash. I only saw that type of increase on a turbo charged car. Thanks for the suggestion.

Did you notice any difference? I had a '08 550i, and did the Dinan intake, flash, and did notice a little difference, but it wasn't huge. More notable when I changed the exhaust. I like the fact that my dealer will do the work and supports Dinan mods, but for the money has it been worth it?

i'm pretty sure those gains where done IN ADDITION to other mods, right? I'm a bit skeptic that you can gain 30whp on a chip alone!

Is it the case that the Dinan figures are a more accurate indication of gains?
Has anyone got a totally independent dyno comparison between a Dinan flash and a more aggressive flash? |
