Racing Group in WI/Chicago areas: SCCA, NASA, Club?
Wanted to know if anyone has thoughts or experience with the different governing sanctions in this area. I come from doing a lot of events with NASA Rocky Mountain who have a very good region with a lot of participation.
I'd like to get involved with the group that is going to have good participation and generally good people looking to have a good time. That's what its all about, right? What would be your vote? NASA, SCCA or BMWCCA and which region?

Welcome to the Midwest! BMWCCA's Windy City Chapter does not participate in any club racing. I'm not sure if any of the neighboring midwest chapters do or not. That aside, I think NASA is a great group to run with. I have several friends who run in GTS and Spec E30, and am currently in the process of building a Spec E30 myself.

Would definitely be interested in race groups. I currently run GTS2 in NASA out here in the RMC region. Not sure what the car classes in for SCCA Or BMWCCA, probably one of the ST groups for the former.
Also always interested in a few open track sessions.

Windy City BMW and Audi Club Chicago host a few HPDE events a year that have good turnout. I've also heard that 3 Balls Racing, LAPS INC, and AutoInterests put on some good events as well.
