LCI tail light alignment ..?

Hey I'm just wondering if anyone else had trouble aligning their lci tail lights?

I cant seem to get the gaps to be equal on both sides.

Is there a special order in which to tighten the bolts?

Thanks
ALex

Black Velcro works very well. Just wrap around the soft side of the Velcro on the Taillights and it will fill the gap.

Same here... After an hour I gave up and figured I'd have the dealer take care of it.

I did however notice that one of the three mounting holes has an adjustable plastic coupler on the car side. The part is black and threads itself threw the cars metal. If you twist it in the light seems to align more outward.

I'll take a pic.

You would think they would fit the same as your prior lights and you wouldn't need to mess with that adjuster.

With that being said I recall adjusting it and spending well over an hour getting my fitment the best I could. I believe I tightened the two inboard bolts snug first so I could still wiggle the light into place while making final adjustments and then tightened them all down fully.

I thought they would just bolt right up as well..

I had my car coded for the LCI's today and while it was getting done I gave it another try, Im happy with the results.

the trunk tail lights you should have no issues. The taillights on the body has 3 parts where you can adjust. I found out if you were to tighten all three on each side, it will look like crap. In my old car, I think I had one tighten down and two semi-tighten and never had gap issues. Good luck

I have the same issue with my LCI upgrade as well, my drivers side outer light doesn't sit flush with the inner light. the passenger side fits perfectly.

i'll prolly mess with the adjuster one of these days haha
